We went with the Viper club to this event in August last year and it was a great time. The event in October of last year brought out over 250 cars plus hundreds of other spectator cars. Looking forward to attending many more of these in 2009. First event for 2009 will be Saturday April 4th at the Minneapolis Auto Motorplex in Chanhassen. Events will follow on the first Saturday each month thru October.

This event brings out the best and most rare cars in MN and WI. Mark your calendars now!

STAR TRIBUNE ARTICLE:
"Cars and Coffee began in April 2008 at a Caribou Coffee in Hopkins with an assortment of sports and collector cars and their owners. The event was so successful that the following month brought out 80 cars. In July, fans turned up with 120 cars and by August the number doubled again to 240 vehicles from a variety of manufacturers and eras. That many cars and the larger number of pedestrians overwhelmed the area by the Hopkins Caribou, so organizers found a new location ideally suited to big car events: the Auto Motorplex in Chanhassen. More than 300 cars, plus many additional spectator vehicles, flooded this car haven on Saturday, September 6."

The location is the Minneapolis AutoMotorplex located at:
1740 Motorplex Ct. Chanhassen MN (About 10 minutes away from the old location)

For people traveling east of 494 we would encourage you to take the Crosstown (62) extension (HWY 5) the where it becomes 212, exit on Powers Blvd (Which is 1 exit past 101) go right, drive approx 500 ft and turn left on Lyman (at the light) travel approximately 1 mile, turn right on Audubon and we will be 1.1 mile on the left.
